The following registration fees and deadlines apply for IHPBA 2024.
All registration fees are in US Dollars.

Low Income Countries
Low-income and Sub-Saharan countries are offered a discount on the registration fee. If you are entitled to a discount please select: Non-IHPBA Members (Standard) registration fee and the discount will automatically be applied on the payment page.

2024 Member Registration Fees
The Member registration fee is available to all IHPBA/ E-AHPBA /AHPBA/A-PHPBA/ members who have a 2024 membership.  If you have not renewed your membership for 2024, please renew here.

To receive the member fee please ensure you use the same email address that is associated with your membership.

Non-Member Standard/Non-Member Resident/Trainee/Fellow (Including 2024 Membership)
If you would like to become a new member of IHPBA/E-AHPBA, you can register under the Non-member (including 2024 membership) category to benefit from a discounted registration, plus annual (2024) membership to IHPBA/E-AHPBA at a convenient and cost-effective single fee. You will receive a username and password from IHPBA and E-AHPBA, which will allow you access the member’s area on both IHPBA and E-AHPBA websites to start receiving your other membership benefits.

Please allow up to 21 days to receive your username and passwords after you have completed and payment has been received for registration. 

Non-Member Registration Fee
The higher registration fee applies to those who are not members of IHPBA/E-AHPBA/AHPBA/A-PHPBA

Resident, Trainee, Fellow
Documentary proof of Resident, Trainee, Fellow status is required to be uploaded during the registration process this should be in the form of a recent job certification, student ID card or letter from your supervisor confirming your status.

Allied Health Professional Member
Documentary proof of Allied Health Professional/Advanced Practise Provider status in the form of a letter from your head of department is required to be uploaded during the registration process. 

Any healthcare practitioner who is a nurse, PA, NP, OR, radiographer, anaesthesia technician or other practitioner involved in the fields taking part in this congress.

The registration fee for IHPBA 2024 Congress includes:
·         Access to all scientific sessions (except Meet the Expert which are an additional cost)
·         Access to the exhibition
·         Coffee breaks at times as listed in the final programme
·         Welcome and opening of exhibition
·         Access to the virtual platform with recordings of all sessions in the main congress programme.

Virtual
IHPBA 2024 will be offering virtual registration for those who are unable to join us in person. All sessions in the main IHPBA 2024 congress programme will be available to watch live during the congress and will also be available on demand for 6 months after the congress. E-Posters and E-Videos are also included in the virtual package.

REGISTRATION ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Registration acknowledgement will be sent to you, via e-mail, within 24 hours of your registration. Please contact ihpba2024.registration@ihpba.org if you do not receive this acknowledgement.

Meet the Expert Breakfast Sessions

Meet the Expert breakfast sessions allow delegates to meet in a small group with renowned researchers and clinicians. The format is designed to facilitate informal discussions, allowing participants to present their questions and gain new perspectives. To foster a more intimate learning environment, places will be limited and a nominal fee of $25.00 per session will apply (includes breakfast). Further information can be found here

IHPBA 2024 Post-graduate Course

The postgraduate course will include updates by internationally renowned experts and address current controversies in liver, biliary, and pancreas surgery. The course will also include a session on the state-of-the-art management of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Trauma.

Early Career Group Research Retreat

The focus of the ECG Research Retreat is to facilitate exchange and feedback on research ideas and projects, with a view to foster international collaborations and enhance career development and mentorship for ECG members

AI Translation

Language translation will be offered in the IHPBA and African Viral Hepatitis Sessions. Please ensure that you bring a fully charged device (phone, laptop or tablet) with internet capabilities and headphones. Simultaneous audio and visual translation will be provided. A unique QR code will be provided at each venue that will open the translation link. Once open the language of choice for translation can be selected.

Payment deadline and conditions
Full payment must be received before the corresponding registration deadlines to benefit from early registration rates.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

•             All refunds will be made after the Congress.
•             All bank service charges and administration fees will be deducted from all congress registration refunds.
•             Membership fees are non-refundable.

Letter of Invitation
Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to entering South Africa.

Individuals requiring an official letter of invitation, in order to obtain a visa and authorisation to attend the Congress, will be able to complete the Letter of Invitation link below and immediately print your personalised letter.

The Letter of Invitation should be considered as an official invitation to facilitate the processing of visas and/or documents needed for single entry to be able to attend the Congress.  All delegates are responsible for the payment of all fees and expenses related to your participation at the Congress and visa applications, as well as any necessary insurances for health and travel.  This invitation does NOT include any financial aid such as waived fee, financial support or accommodation.  Any misuse of the document will be subject to legal action.
